Going Good!!
Everything is going good, I have been at the park with my kids doing some reading. They got a chance to run out some energy and I was able to read the chapter for Monday! It is a beautiful day!

Friday at Westminster Oaks was very different than I expected. I enjoyed spending the day with my patient, talking with someone that has been through so much in their life. The facility was beautiful. Now on to write my paper about my patient, I hope I can make the paper as interesting as the stories they told me.
Going to enjoy my Sunday!!! It is a beautiful day.

Week 2.....
The week is over and I made it. Working on getting my class, reading and study schedule down. Now I have to work on fitting some house work/errands time in there. When I had to look through the laundry basket of clean clothes to find something that Olivia "had" to have, I almost had an anxiety attack. The non-nursing school student me would hear the dryer turn off and start folding the clothes and put them away. I will have to get used to the house work not being "Perfect", and so will my family!!! That was a big shock to all of us! :)
I am going to buy stock in Paper Mate, I can already see I will be using a lot of pens and highlighters! Lab was great fun, I will need to work on my B/P skills. Practice makes perfect!
Off for a Long weekend and Lots of studying to do. Have a Safe Labor Day Weekend!

Philosophy of Nursing
Philosophy.....
A nurse is a skilled and education person that can bring knowledge, discipline and critical thinking into a life changing situation for a family.
Nurses......
A person that truly cares for people when they are at a fragile time in their life...
Compassionate and has a desire to help people when they can not help them self...
Comforts and clams their patient and their family/friends...
Some nurses are there when A Life is brought into the world...
Some nurses are there when A Life is taken...
What ever type of nurse you desire to be, Caring Nurses are valuable to their patient.
My Desire......
My dream is to be a Labor and Delivery nurse. I have two children, while they are both perfect in every way, both of my pregnancies were high risk. There were many nurses I had contact with that made me feel clam and sure things would work out just fine. They offered words of encouragement when I did not have the words for myself, they listened to my complaints, and make me feel like they truly cared. Looking back now, I am sure they heard the same complaints all day long from every new mother, however, that did not stop them from showing me they cared. While in the hospital, my nurses helped me and my family press the through stress and pain of the ups and downs of a risky delivery, keeping me focused on the joy that I would have at the end of my endeavor.
